The Children's Nutrition and Dietetics Service provides specialist dietary intervention for babies, children and young people from birth to 16 years of age (and sometimes up to 19 years).
Paediatric Dietitians support children, young people and their families where nutrition or special diets are part of their treatment.
Once a referral has been accepted, the child will be assessed and treated as appropriate. Children will be seen in a variety of locations. This could be at a clinic (Macclesfield District General Hospital, Waters Green Medical Cetre) home, nursery, school, special school, or in a virtual group education session using MS Teams.
