The Chronic Heart Failure Service provides diagnosis and management of chronic heart failure.
At ECT we have a dedicated heart failure team with a lead consultant and heart failure specialist nurses, who are able to offer community clinics.
Our teams provide a dedicated clinic to initiate and up titrate medications such as Sacubitril/ Valsartan (Entresto) for treatment of advanced heart failure.
Our service also provides a complex device clinic to follow up and optimise cardiac resynchronisation and implantable defibrillator devices in partnership with Manchester Foundation Trust. We offer complex device implantation at MFT.
We offer a local cardiac loop implantation and follow up service.
We are actively engaged in cardiovascular research and contribute to major international clinical trials and The National Heart Failure Audit.
