PCN-CRP (Preterm Clinical Network Cohort Research Programme) Study

PCR-CRP

At Macclesfield maternity we are currently recruiting to the PCN-CRP (Preterm Clinical Network Cohort Research Programme)Study; a series of studies aiming to reduce preterm birth and the problems it can cause. If you have a medical history of conditions or treatments impacting your cervix or uterus; or previous threatened preterm labour or preterm birth, you may be eligible to participate and we would be grateful for your support!

These studies will investigate the tests and treatments used to predict and prevent preterm birth, and how to improve the psychological & physical outcomes for women and their babies.

If you decide to take part, your pregnancy care would remain the same, but we would ask to use your data to help improve outcomes for the future.

It is completely your choice whether you wish to take part or not. This decision will not affect your future medical treatment and usual standard of care in any way.

What will we require from you?

If you attend the Preterm Birth Clinic & are interested in participating, a research midwife or nurse will attempt attend one of your appointments to obtain your consent so you can participate in the PCN-CRP studies.

We will collect data throughout your pregnancy or postnatally.
