At Macclesfield our parent education classes are made up of two sessions including a tour of the maternity unit. The sessions are best to be attended around 34 weeks gestation and are held in the Lecture Theatre at Macclesfield Hospital.
The first session covers information around the intrapartum period including birth preferences, signs of labour, pain relief options, partners role and delivery of your baby.
The second session covers the postnatal period including recovery, caring for baby, emotional and mental wellbeing and a quick look at feeding support.
